All bowhunting is out of tree stands and ground blinds. Crossbows are legal means of harvest in Kansas. We hunt natural funnels between feeding and bedding areas and most shots are 25 yards or less.
All bowhunters arrive on Sunday, begin hunting on Monday morning and finish up Saturday morning, (or when you arrow your trophy, whichever comes first!). Departure from camp is Saturday afternoon. 50% deposit required, balance due upon arrival.
Menu ↑We are offering muzzleloader hunts in September and two rifle hunts during the first half of December. Call 620-926-2770 for the particulars on arrival times, hunt schedules and total fees. These hunts are from box blinds mostly, with some ground level as well as elevated boxes too. The type of stand just depends on the terrain and the area's history. We know what it takes for a successful harvest on all our properties.
Rifle shots vary from 20 yards to 200 yards, with an average range being less than 100 yds.
All of our deer will weigh from 180 lbs. up to 300 lbs. They lose a lot of body weight during the rut, but the average weight is still 200 lbs. We take you right to the spot on all hunts, and if you're not happy with that spot, we'll move you. We are here to do what ever it takes to get you a trophy; we want everyone to come back.

Remember, you can't purchase your license and hunt in the same day, but you can purchase online anytime prior to your trip to Kansas; now that's convenience!
Menu ↑Back by popular demand! We are offering the youngsters (15 and under) the chance to harvest a trophy whitetail before any other hunters. And not only that, but the youngsters get in the woods before anyone else in September. That element of being first in the woods before anyone else is a key ingredient to help ensure a trophy whitetail of a lifetime for any kid. As a matter of fact, we have enjoyed a 100% success rate so far. Now it just doesn't get any better than that! Ask parents know what we are talking about.
The 3-day hunt includes a stay at our lodge for youth and one parent, with three full days of hunt and guide service provided. Maybe Dad or Grandad wants to come along? Dad and grandads/grandmas/moms/other parents/relatives are certainly welcome to come along! However, there will be an extra charge for that guest. Want to keep that memory forever? We've got that covered too. We'll video every second of the hunt, capturing live action and that young hunter's incredible moment forever.
All hunters must be 15 or under to hunt during this time. Deer tags and hunting licenses are awarded as stated in the section for lottery below. Cost of the tags and license is in addition to price of hunt.
