I would get some good protein feed and  maybe some acorn rage or CMere Deer or any good attractant to go with it.
You need a good mineral lick too. I love using roasted soybeans if you can get them.
Get the does coming and you will have him there in Nov.  Put this feed close to bedding without spooking him.
Make sure wind is right ALWAYS. Good luck, send pic's

Hello All,

I'm new to this forum (or any hunting forum for that matter) and fairly new to deer hunting. I have a buck that I really, really want. I first saw him last season and I got a shot at him but missed. Man, I had never experienced buck fever till then! It's miserable. Anyway, the problem is this year I'm not the only one who know's of this bucks existence and another hunter is after him. I have him patterned pretty well so I know when he moves, where he beds down, etc. There is an orchard he likes to spend alot of time in and I don't have permission to hunt it, the aforementioned hunter does though. I've got to figure out how to draw him away from the orchard where I can get a shot at him. Like I said, I'm really pretty new to this so I'm sure I'm leaving alot of important info out but any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Oh, last year I first saw him on my feeder only at night. I had a shot at him during the rut. He was heading to the orchard following a doe and I was able to bring him in with a grunt. This year my competition has got corn on the ground in the orchard so I'm worried my feeder won't be as effective at bringing does in. How can I make sure there are plenty of does hanging around?

I have attatched a photo of this rascal. I don't think he's very big but he sure is cool looking. By the way, if a buck has a drop tine one year will he always have the same drop tine every year?

One more thing, if any of you is the other hunter I've mentioned, although I would be sorely disappointed that I didn't tag this buck, good luck I hope one of us gets him!

Thanks for any help,

Matt
